Common cases of Doosan excavator fault codes

(1) Excavator fault code 0091-08: throttle position signal is abnormal

 The main fault phenomenon must use the spare throttle switch to set the speed of the diesel engine.

Fault reason: ECM detects that the throttle signal frequency is greater than 2000Hz or less than 150Hz for 2s.

 System reaction: ECM will record the fault code, and the fault code can be viewed on the display module or ET. ECM marks the throttle position as invalid data.

Before one of the following conditions occurs, maintain the recent diesel engine speed to the required diesel engine speed.

a. ECM receives different diesel engine speed signals from the backup throttle switch.

b. The signal from the throttle switch becomes effective and stays for more than 2s.

(2) Excavator fault code 0094-03: Fuel pressure sensor and battery positive electrode open circuit and short circuit

 The main fault phenomenon Diesel engine is stopped or not running.

Fault reason: ECM detected all the following conditions:

a. ECM reads the signal voltage higher than 4.8V for 8s;

b. The power supply to the ECM has been at least 2s;

c. The 5V sensor power supply line and battery positive short-circuit fault code 0262-03 does not currently exist;

d. The 5V sensor power supply line and ground short-circuit fault code 0262-04 do not currently exist;

e. The diesel engine is not running or the diesel engine has been running for at least 3 minutes.

(3) Fault code 0094-04: Fuel pressure sensor is shorted to ground

b. The power supply to the ECM has been at least 2s;

c· The 5V sensor power supply line and battery positive short-circuit fault code 0262-03 does not currently exist;

d. The 5V sensor power supply line and ground short-circuit fault code 0262-04 do not currently exist;

e. The diesel engine is not running or the diesel engine has been running for at least 3 minutes.

 The system responds that the ECM will record the fault code, and the fault code can be viewed on the display module or ET. The ECM marks the fuel pressure as invalid data and uses the pressure of 600 kPa as the default value.

(4) Fault code 0100-03: oil pressure sensor and battery positive open/short circuit

Main fault phenomenon

a. Diesel engine runs at low power.

b. The speed of the diesel engine decreases.

 Failure cause ECM detected all the following conditions:

a·ECM read signal voltage higher than 4.8V for 8s;

b. The power supply to the ECM has been at least 2s;

c. The 5V sensor power supply line and battery positive short-circuit fault code 0262-03 does not currently exist;

d. The 5V sensor power supply line and ground short-circuit fault code 0262-04 do not currently exist;

e. The diesel engine is not running.

 The system responds that ECM will record the fault code, and the fault code can be viewed on the display module or ET. The ECM marks the oil pressure as invalid data and uses the pressure of 600kPa as the default value.

(5) Fault code 0100-04: The oil pressure sensor is shorted to ground

Main fault phenomenon

a. Diesel engine runs at low power.

b. The speed of the diesel engine decreases.

 Failure cause ECM detected all the following conditions:

a. ECM reads the signal voltage higher than 0.2V for 18s;

b. The power supply to the ECM has been at least 2s;

c. The short-circuit fault code 0262-03 of the 5V sensor power supply line and the battery positive pole does not currently exist;

d. The 5V sensor power supply line and ground short-circuit fault code 0262-04 do not currently exist;

e. The diesel engine is not running.

 The system responds that ECM will record the fault code, and the fault code can be viewed on the display module or ET. ECM marks the oil pressure as invalid data and adopts

Use the pressure of 600kPa as the default value.

(6) Fault code 0110-03: Coolant temperature sensor and battery positive open/short circuit

Main fault phenomenon

a. Diesel engine will not enter cold mode.

b. The diesel engine does not catch fire.

c. Low-power operation of diesel engine.

d. The speed of the diesel engine decreases.

 Cause of failure ECM detected all the following conditions:

a. ECM reads the signal voltage above 4.92V for 8s;

b. The power supply to the ECM has been at least 2s.

 The system responds that ECM will record the fault code, and the fault code can be viewed on the display module or ET. ECM marks the coolant temperature as invalid data and uses the temperature of 90 as the default value.

(7) Fault code 0110-04: coolant temperature sensor is shorted to ground

Main fault phenomenon

a. The diesel engine does not catch fire.

b. Low-power operation of diesel engine.

c. The speed of the diesel engine decreases.

 Cause of failure ECM detected all the following conditions:

a. ECM reads the signal voltage below 0.2V for 8s.

b. The power supply to the ECM has been at least 2s.

 The system responds that BCM will record the fault code, and the fault code can be viewed on the display module or ET. ECM marks the coolant temperature as invalid data, and uses the temperature of 90 as the default value. The diesel engine will not enter cold mode.
